The 1500 Cuban Exiles of Brigade 2506, with expected support from the CIA and the US military, have landed on their homeland of Cuba. Their mission is to inspire the population to topple revolutionary leader Fidel Castro's Communist regime. The plan is ambitious. US President JFK worries about the political implications of overt US support for the operation, and so it quickly falls into chaos. In part 2 of this documentary, we look at Castro's counterattack against the beachhead.
