Instead: The Choice Is You

What if the delay you've been fighting is actually God preparing you to be His next choice? Most people pray to be chosen. Few prepare for what comes after God chooses them. In this week's message, "Instead: When the Choice Is You," Apostle Shane Wall reveals a powerful biblical pattern: God raises people for specific assignments, specific seasons, and specific purposes. The question isn't whether God has a plan—it's whether you're ready when He says, "The choice is you." And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. 1 Kings 3:7 KJV *- God did not replace David as king because he was unfaithful, but brought his reign to a close so his son, Solomon, could build the Temple and rule during a time of peace. David’s kingship lasted until his natural death, after which Solomon succeeded him. *- God required a ruler known for peace to establish the Temple and oversee a period of unprecedented national rest and prosperity. *- When God requires you instead of who’s currently in position, be ready. Your season of being God’s public choice is coming! 29 And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the Lord hath spoken good concerning Israel. 30 And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred. 31 And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes. Numbers 10:29-31 KJV *- No matter the offered or supposed benefit, never agree to an offer when God has already planned your assignment elsewhere. And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. Genesis 4:25 KJV *- Sometimes God reveals that a birth provides a replacement for a seed that died. *- Be sensitive to the new people, places, and situations that God—not you—brings into your life after a seed has died. Lifework Assignment: Ask, “Holy Spirit, will You help me always be well prepared for every position God places me in?” Expected Behavior: Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:2 KJV
