Farm Life Map Week 1 / Why Does a Farmer Have a Barn? | Joyful Art Time Show

Welcome to Week 1 of my July Farm Life Map series for the Joyful Art Time Show! This week, we are starting with the first section of the farm map: The Farmer’s Barn. We’ll talk about why a farmer has a barn and what a barn is used for on the farm. A barn can store hay and feed, shelter horses, hold farm equipment, and sometimes have small areas for ducks, rabbits, or other animals. We’ll also talk about barn owls and barn swallows, two birds often connected with barns. Barn owls are helpful because they catch mice and other small pests around the farm. Each week in July, I’ll add a new section to the Farm Life Map, and I’ll also create something inspired by that week’s theme for Zak’s memory journal. Come paint, create in your junk journal, or just hang out. Bring your chair and a drink.
