3. Tag der Steige 2026 - Schlößertour

On April 18, 2026, the third "Day of the Trails" took place in Essen – one of Germany's largest free hiking events. This year, the focus was on the Kettwig Panorama Trail, with five different routes, eight stamping stations, and plenty of nature, views of the Ruhr River, and Kettwig's history. We were there and hiked the Castles Route together with Ramona and Manuel (@Outdoor.mit.Manuel). The approximately 13-kilometer route was a real highlight: Along the way, we visited, among other places, the Hugenpoet Castle Hotel, which was also a stamping station that day, and before that, the romantically situated Landsberg Castle in the forest. The day was a wonderful mix of hiking, exploring, short breaks, and spending time together outdoors. That's exactly what the "Day of the Trails" is all about: experiencing Essen from its green, active, and surprisingly diverse side. Those who completed a route received a hiking pin at the end. In our video, we take you along on our castle tour, show you impressions of the route, and tell you about our day. Enjoy watching! Oh, and here's the link to Manuel and Ramona's website mentioned in the video... https://wandernfuerdummies.wordpress.... #TagDerSteige #Essen #Kettwig #Schlösserroute #KettwigerPanoramaSteig #WandernInEssen #SchlosshotelHugenpoet #SchlossLandsberg #Ruhrgebiet #Wandern #VisitEssen
