Model YL Begins Prod! Optimus Factory S Expansion! A New Qtr! 6 July 2026 Giga Texas Update (8:45AM)

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot! I’m back from my trip to the Idaho National Laboratories where I was witness to a historic achievement by Aalo Atomics when their first reactor (called the Aalo-X Critical Reactor Test Reactor) achieved criticality on time to meet the President’s goal of having at least 3 new companies demonstrate a new reactor … Aalo was the 4th and it happened on the 4th of July! While I was gone, Tesla wrapped up an exceptional 2nd quarter with the 4th best quarter in the company’s history for production and delivery of vehicles and deployments of stationary storage. Timestamps: Drone flight overview with discussion & illustration: 0:06 to 4:39 Drone flight footage & infographics: 5:02 to 35:25 In the video introduction we talked about the potential for a big announcement tomorrow … This was hinted at last week by Lars Moravy during an interview with Herbert Ong. Its hard to say what this may be and if it is separate from three additional big announcements were already made over the weekend. On Friday, we heard that Robotaxi service had begun in Miami, the first city in Florida and the service began fully unsupervised. If this is the new model for deployments, it would be a massive advancement for the company and Robotaxi service deployments since they would not need to hire in safety drivers. I think this is hinting at a rapid expansion of the service soon, which matches up with numerous sightings of Model Ys and Cybercabs meant for Robotaxi duties being deployed all around the country. We also heard that the Model Y L (Long) was officially launched in the USA, and these are being built right here at Giga Texas! There are many of these already in the outbound lot today, and this follows other indicators we have observed at the factory over the past 3 to 4 months. This variant of the Model Y has had strong demand world-wide. The final news from Tesla this weekend was that the Cybercab was demonstrated at the National Federation of the Blind's Annual Convention in Austin for a hands-on experience of its accessibility features for blind or visually impaired customers. A few of the features that were highlighted at the convention included Braille lettering on physical controls, space for service animals & assistive devices and wheelchair-height seating for easier transfers. Finally, for the intro, I talk about my trip to the Idaho National Laboratories to witness the Aalo Test reactor demonstrate safe and controlled nuclear fission criticality. I was very honored to have been invited to attend the event and spend some time with the team as they worked so hard to get everything set up and ready for the successful test. A few other highlights from today include: Cybertrucks were observed rolling out of the factory today, indicating production was once again running today and on the north end of the factory, many Cybertruck castings were completed and staged ahead of movement to the production line. The Optimus robot factory has grown larger again with more steel assembled & the south extension is also growing farther to the south too! The east joint venture Advanced Chip Fab site is looking more ready for initial construction to begin with grade work in several locations. There is an emerging rectangular excavation taking place on the north central part of the site, and the remains of another old temporary workshop have been erased. ON the south end of the east side near the bend in River Road, the water retention pond liner walls are nearly completed, and crews were working with rebar to form the inlet flow channel around the steel corrugated drainage pipes.
