DRAWING COMICS | excerpts from the desk
Drawing with a pencil and pen on paper is only a portion of the skillset of a comic artist. Self-critique, fearless erasing, patience, acting, and staging are all skills you'll need. This is literally my favorite thing to do, even though it can feel like self-inflicted torture when you are trying to figure something out. My goal with this video is to maybe offer another lens to view the comic creation process. I used to be cut and dry, not allowing my pages to breathe or evolve. I have since taken a more iterative approach, and wanted to share that with you. Cheers, love ya
