I’m 20 and hate waking up early, let’s fix that! | edenxjoanna

Hey friends! Thank you for being here. Since I was very young, I ran to sleep as a place of comfort to avoid painful life circumstances and even though God has given a me a new life, I realised I was still living without surrender in this area. I became more and more aware of it as I did an internship at church and got married- that even though I was living the life I’d dreamed of, I still wad t fully embracing in and was still looking at life as something to avoid and protect myself from. It’s been a process, but this is the fruit of making a decision and not waiting for life to happen. A line that stuck with me from the book ‘The Garden Within’ by Dr Anita Phillips says “Battling your heart is futile. Heal it instead”. The moment I shifted my perspective from trying to reign in and discipline myself to teaching myself to walk in freedom and healing, something shifted.
