Half of Car Seats Are Installed Wrong - Meet SafeSeat Check

This project was made for MGMT 4358 at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. The app shown is a concept mockup and does not exist as a real product. All views are my own and do not represent my employer. Almost half of all car seats are installed wrong, and most parents have no idea. I see it every week. I’m Israel Guerra, and I work in Injury prevention at a Children’s Hospital. Car seat safety is part of my job, so I built SafeSeat Check: a simple app where a parent takes a couple of photos of their car seat and gets quick feed back on the common mistakes, in English or Spanish. It catches the stuff that goes wrong the most, like a chest clip that’s too low, and tells you when to see a certified technician. This video walks through why I built it, how it works, the pricing plan, the risks, and where I’d take it next. If you’d use something like this, or you know a parent who would, drop a comment and let me know what you think.
