Adventurous Hearts - The Story of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph

In 1874, the Ursuline Sisters traveled from Louisville to Owensboro, Kentucky, on a flatboat to establish a Catholic high school for girls in rural western Daviess County. The school and religious community grew quickly and became known as The Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. In August of 2004, the Mount Saint Joseph Ursulines reenacted the historic voyage of the five founding sisters, traveling 155 miles down the Ohio River in an 1874-era flatboat. "Adventurous Hearts" is a video account of that reenactment.
