🚀 Dewalt FlexVolt on steroids! In this video, I don't just repair, but perform a complete upgrade of the Dewalt FlexVolt 18/54V battery. The original cells were scrapped and replaced with modern Tabless cells. I explain why this is necessary, how they affect tool performance (especially in 54V mode on circular saws and rotary hammers), and demonstrate the entire process. Why Tabless? 🤔 Regular wire-bonded cells have a limited current capacity. Tabless technology allows current to flow without bottlenecks, resulting in: ✅ Less heating under heavy loads ✅ Increased charge-discharge cycle life ✅ More stable voltage under peak loads (sag) is reduced What was done: Diagnosing an old battery: why it died. Disassembling the FlexVolt case and its BMS (control system). Welding new Tabless cells with pure copper/nickel (I demonstrate resistance welding).
