A Northwest Classic. Beacon Rock's Southeast Corner

On July 18, 2026, Cam, Noaki and I climbed Beacon Rock's Southeast Corner (5.7). Sitting right in the Columbia River Gorge, Beacon Rock towers 848 feet above the river. A true staple of the Northwest. Beacon Rock's Southeast Corner is the most popular way to climb the formation. At an approachable 5.7 it sees ascents constantly while it is open for the season.
