📍 What to do in São Bento do Sapucaí (Part 2): art, history, and unique experiences Continuing our journey through São Bento do Sapucaí, we delve even deeper into the culture, stories, and people that make this city such a special destination in the Serra da Mantiqueira. If in the first video we explored trails, gastronomy, and landscapes, this time we went further… getting to know local artists, traditions, and places that reveal the true essence of São Bento. 🎨 Art and culture in São Bento do Sapucaí We started the day meeting the artist Seu Ditinho Joana, sculptor and storyteller from the Quilombo neighborhood. His works carry much more than form — each piece brings with it a story, a memory, and a meaning. One of his most striking symbols is the famous little boot, which represents his identity as an artist. During the visit, we heard incredible stories, saw sculptures full of meaning, and even heard a song that brings to life a work created more than 45 years ago. Still in the city, we visited some of the artistic interventions that make São Bento a true open-air museum: 📍 Mosaic Chapels 📍 Firefly Hill 📍 Zé Pereira Museum 📍 São Bento do Sapucaí Parish Church 🍞 Tradition and stories with Seu Vicente Another special encounter was with Seu Vicente, owner of the Chalés Lago do Baú. Besides his hospitality, he is also known for producing one of the most famous cornbreads in the city.
