The incident occurred at kilometer 57 plus 1 on the upstream section of the road between Doplang Station and Randublatung Station, Blora Regency. The train was successfully stopped thanks to the heroic actions of two elderly residents of Blora, Jamin and Sarmo. At the time, the two elderly residents quickly signaled a disturbance in the rail connection, thus preventing a train accident. As a token of appreciation, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 4 Semarang awarded these elderly residents with cash and smartphones. The award was given because Jamin and Sarmo's alertness and care enabled the train to stop before crossing the broken track, thus saving the approximately 800 passengers on board.
