Kaufman’s exclusively-designed robotic palletizing system utilizes a FANUC M-410i Series palletizing robot to pick and palletize cases with a custom-designed spatula end of arm tool with excellent speed and efficiency. Once a palletized load is complete, a gantry style sheet dispenser automatically places a top sheet on the fully palletized load prior to entering the stretch wrapping cell. Kaufman’s KForce R35 overhead stretch wrapper securely wraps the palletized load before it is conveyed out for distribution. In the stretch wrapping cell, two FANUC LR Mate 200iD robots place corner boards on the four sides of the load with the assistance of a turntable conveyor for load stability and protection. Corner boards can easily be accessed and reloaded during system operation. Additionally, this system uses an automatic end of arm tool changer that adds flexibility to accommodate multiple case designs by switching from a spatula end of arm tooling to a vacuum tool.
