Theory of Causation in Nyaya Philosophy : Asatkaryavada | न्याय दर्शन में असत्कार्यवाद
Gautama introduced Asatkaryavada as a counter-argument to the prevalent theory of Satkaryavada, Which is the theory that the effect (Karya) pre-exists in the cause (Karana) before its manifestation. The term "Asatkaryavada" can be broken down as follows: "Asat" means non-existence or non-being, "Karya" refers to the effect, and "Vada" means theory or doctrine. Asatkaryavada is the theory of non-existence of the effect, proposing that the effect does not pre-exist in the cause before its manifestation. #IndianPhilosophy
