ERRATUM Regarding the storage of Category B ammunition -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regarding the storage quotas for Category B ammunition (and also for C6 and C7 ammunition), the storage quotas are 1,000 per weapon. So, if you have four 9x19 and two 7.62x39 weapons, for example, you can store 4,000 9x19 cartridges and 2,000 7.62x39 cartridges. There are two special cases: There is no storage quota for B13s (metal-cased, black powder, centerfire cartridges usable in D-class handguns): as long as you have a permit to possess them, you can buy as many as you want, in any caliber. (This comes into effect on September 1, 2023.) B5s (weapon components) only entitle you to an additional quota of cartridges if they allow the weapon to fire in a caliber other than its original caliber. So, if you purchase an additional barrel of the same caliber for your weapon, you're still entitled to the original quota. But if you purchase a conversion that allows the weapon to fire in a different caliber, also classified as Category B, you're entitled to an additional quota of 3,000 upon purchase and 1,000 in storage for this new caliber.
