As reported by Al Arabiya on Friday (July 10, 2026), warning sirens sounded in several locations. A government spokesman stated that the Jordanian Armed Forces were on high alert and ready to face any threat. Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed it had launched missiles into Jordan. The target was Al-Azraq Air Base, which houses a United States (US) military base. US command and control centers in West Asia were also attacked, without providing details. The IRGC claimed the two locations were destroyed after being hit by at least 10 ballistic missiles. Iran has threatened to continue attacking US bases in the Middle East if attacks on Iran continue. As of the publication of this article, the US has not responded to the claim that its military base in Jordan was destroyed. Jordan only stated that its air defense system intercepted and shot down eight Iranian missiles.
