This time we went out to explore downtown San Salvador to see firsthand if the change that many attribute to Bukele's government is truly felt on the streets. Together with Gaby Vlogs, we toured areas of San Salvador's Historic Center where we saw renovated streets, reclaimed public spaces, new parks, impressive churches, improved security, commerce, tourism, and even incarcerated individuals working on public works projects as part of reintegration programs. One of the things that surprised us most was seeing how these trusted prisoners are participating in the reconstruction of schools, streets, theaters, and public spaces throughout the country. In this video, we visit Plaza Libertad, El Rosario Church, BINAES (National Institute of Specialized Studies), Parque Centroamérica, remodeled downtown streets, Starbucks Casa Bou, Kilometer Zero of San Salvador, artisan shops, and we finish by trying pupusas at La Única, a well-known spot that Bukele has also visited. This isn't a political video to defend or attack anyone. It's a journey through the streets to see what's really happening in El Salvador, what it's like to walk through San Salvador, what changes are visible, what the people who live there think, and why this country continues to capture the attention of all of Latin America.
