NI Stradivari Cello | Deep Dive

This is the Stradivari Cello Deep Dive. While Antonio Stradivarius was best known for his violons, he made other stringed instruments as well - including cellos. Our deep dive today covers one such instrument. A Stradivari cello built by Antonio Stradivarius in 1700 (part of the Stauffer collection) and digitally recreated by Native Instruments in partnership with E-instruments. Recorded on location in Cremona Italy at the Auditorium Giovanni Arvedi using 32 carefully selected microphones. As with all the instruments in the Cremona Quartet the street around the auditorium were shut down during recording and the instrument was acco.panoed by armed guards. What we'll be looking at, however, is the way that NI was able to do with the programing of this "digital cello). If you should want to skip forward or review any section of this deep dive you can find the chapters below. ⬇️ Chapters 00:00 - Intro 01:35 - Instrument Overview 02:20 - The Multi-mic Mixer 06:18 - The Performance Section 19:01 - Articulation Slots 19:42 - Adaptive Articulation 23:47 - Keyswitch & Bow Change 29:02 - Con Sordino 30:56 - Long Articulations 38:37 - Short Articulations 43:05 - Expressive Articulations 49:49 - Dynamic Articulations 51:20 - Special Articulations 57:47 - Position Control https://linktr.ee/jaronamo Intro Music: Music: “Gabriel’s Oboe” Ennio Morricone cover by Jaron Belboda Special thanks to Sohn Compositions (https://www.sohncompositions.com/stor...) for the MIDI used in the cello part.
