A talk event for the film "Romance Doll" (directed by Yuki Tanada, opening January 24th) was held in Tokyo on January 13th, with lead actor Issei Takahashi and actress Yu Aoi on stage. The film is based on a novel by director Issei Tanada, serialized in the magazine "Da Vinci" (KADOKAWA) in 2008. The story depicts the daily life of love doll craftsman Tetsuo Kitamura (Issei Takahashi) and his wife Sonoko (Aoi), whom he fell in love with at first sight and married. Director Tanada also wrote the screenplay. This is Takahashi and Aoi's first film collaboration in approximately 18 years, and their first time playing a married couple.
