Weaving A Lauhala Basket - The Base (Part 1/3)

This is the first of a three part series into weaving a lauhala basket. The base is the most important part of the basket as it sets the foundation for a tight weave. Laying out the strips and creating a square 6, 8 or 12 pieces will work well. Keep your base together using clothes pins or similar then push them together to keep the square closely knit.
