write a list, you'll feel better
I've been feeling overwhelmed, but I wrote a list and it made me feel better. you should try it too! ✩ instagram: / hadleyqueen ✩ website: https://www.hadleyqueen.com ★꩜★꩜★꩜★꩜★꩜★꩜★꩜★꩜★꩜★꩜ writing everything I'm thinking about on paper clears my mind. once my thoughts are inside my journal instead of my head, I have space for new ideas. I recently started my first full time job, and work/life balance has been a struggle. the thoughts in my head were growing and growing: little chores to do, errands to run, things I want to buy, things I want to make. I felt like my head was going to explode, so I wrote everything I could think of in my notebook. normally when I write a list, it has some sort of theme. when I jot things down, I'm filtering in my head before the pen hits the paper. the important thing here is there's no theme, this is literally just all the stuff that's been on my mind. and here it is: empty spaces in my apartment that I'd like to hang artwork making paper mache having a regular journaling practice starting a sketchbook again mailing that letter frank green water bottles figuring out my new sewing machine reading cleaning my moka pot making a list of movies to watch, watching them, and taking notes perfume salomon mary jane sneakers my hair my new art books switching out my purse curation making paper chains habit tracking drawing on paper what do I want to say with my art? what do I want my art to be about? hanging that basket next to might nightstand making patchwork curtains magic the gathering ikea lamps free form quilt book
