Invited by the Municipality of San Lorenzo, they moved everyone present with their performance of the Argentine National Anthem and “Aurora” in a chamamé style. 🎶 “It’s the first time the children have sung in public, outside of school,” the teacher noted. He further clarified that it's not a choir, but rather the participation of all the 5th and 6th grade students from the Santa Rosa de Viterbo and San Carlos schools: four entire classes comprising approximately 120 boys and girls. 🎼 When asked about the choice of songs they perform—such as those by the British band Oasis—Pablo Parente explained that it's part of an educational project that aims to introduce students to music with meaningful content, to artists and songs that their parents listened to. The students themselves suggest songs, and then, together, they decide which one to perform. 🎹 “My role is to give them the opportunity to discover and access other musical options, different from what they're currently listening to,” the teacher noted. And referring to his commitment to teaching, he expressed: “It's also about my own happiness; that's why I've been a teacher for 23 years,” he concluded. 🎵 The experience fostered by music teacher Pablo Parente demonstrates that music is a universal language capable of uniting generations and awakening emotions.
