You would like to study biochemistry? Here I give you 5 reasons why you should NOT. Studying biochemistry is interesting, but definitely not for everyone. It can be boring, complicated and difficult sometimes and I hope with this video I can give you some information about the downsides of a biochemical career. This video should help you in making a decision whether biochemistry and the life as a biochemist is the right thing for you. During my studies many people dropped off saying: "That's not what I expected" and with this video I want to make you aware what you are going to experience in a bachelor/undergraduate program with some perspective into the future. This all might sound that I would recommend nobody to study biochemistry, but this is absolutely not the case. I personally don't regret that I studied it and I even did my Masters and I am going to do my PhD as well. There are enough reasons FOR biochemistry, I just want to give you a more or less realistic view what is going to await you.
