Inside the hood it is powered by Helio A22 12nm quad core processor from MediaTek. A 3000 mAh battery powers this handset. SOC performance is better than Redmi 5A and more power efficient. There is Face unlock too. There are 3 slots. Dual VoLTE and dual standby supported. Redmi 6A is running MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo, and it will get MIUI 10 in the future. Camera is 13MP on rear PDAF, EIS in video and 5MP selfie camera with AI portrait mode.
