Sonic CD After 30 Years — I Finally Heard Sonic Boom

I had Sonic CD on a PC demo disc in the 90s. I never owned the full game. But I never forgot it — the cartoon intro, Palmtree Panic, that weird FUTURE sign sound, and a song called Sonic Boom that lived in my head for 30 years without me ever hearing it properly. This is the story of going back. Playing the full game for the first time. Hearing Sonic Boom the way it was meant to be heard — not as a fragment memory from a demo disc, but as the ending to a game I finally finished. Because that's what this whole Notepad Kid journey has been about. The games I never completed as a kid aren't just unfinished levels — they're unfinished chapters of my own story. Sonic CD was one of the loudest. If you've ever had a song stuck in your head from a game you never actually played — you already know what this feels like. What's the one retro game soundtrack that's lived in your head since childhood? You can let me know in the comments. 🩵 Watch next — Sonic 3 & Knuckles: 13 Zones. 8 Hours.
