Twisted: Acknowledging Your Habits

“How do I actually show up in twisted situations?” Not how I wish I responded. Not how I think I should respond. But honestly, habitually, instinctively… how do I meet moments that feel tangled, pressured, uncertain, uncomfortable, or constricting? This week’s practice invites us into observation without judgment. Through criss-crossed sun salutations, revolved classical asanas, and playful “flips” on familiar shapes, we’ll explore what happens when our usual orientation gets disrupted. Twists ask us to stabilize while rotating, soften while engaging, breathe while compressed. And maybe most importantly: Can we notice the difference between the edge of the twist and the possibility inside of it? So often we meet challenge by bracing against our limits. But within the spiral there is also space, perspective, adaptability, curiosity, and choice.
