A vida eterna começa agora

When we think of eternal life, we usually think of duration: living forever, going to heaven, escaping death. But in John 17:3, Jesus answers differently. He doesn't begin by talking about place, time, or the future. He talks about knowing. On the night before the cross, when his words carry maximum weight, Jesus shows us that eternal life is more than an endless existence. It is communion with God.
