Cossatot River, Playboat + Low Water Shenanigans, Ouachita Mountains, Arkansas

The Cossatot River has the largest watershed of any class III-IV stream in Arkansas. This means that after any large rain event, it will run for up to a week after. This makes the Cossatot River a weekend getaway for paddlers from all over the region. Low water cutoff for many is around 3.2 ft, but it can be run down to around 2.8 ft (very boney).
