İSKUR Tekstil, based in Kahramanmaraş, has commissioned its new generation open-end yarn production facility in the Diyarbakır Organized Industrial Zone, representing an investment of approximately 80 million Euros. Test production is successfully underway, and full-capacity production is planned for the last quarter of 2026. The investment is noteworthy for both its production capacity and advanced technological infrastructure. Founded in 1990 by A. Kadir Kurtul, İSKUR Holding operates in numerous sectors, including textiles, energy, agriculture, automotive, aviation, hospitality, and recycling. As one of Türkiye's leading industrial companies, İSKUR continues to strengthen its strong position in international markets with new investments. The new facility, built on a 258-acre site, houses 14,688 rotors and aims to produce 150 tons of yarn daily. Upon completion of this investment, İSKUR's total daily yarn production capacity will reach 300 tons. The factory aims to achieve high efficiency and quality standards in production through automated conveying systems, robotic strip binding units, fully automated packaging lines, and smart warehouse solutions. İSKUR Holding Deputy Chairman of the Board, İsmail Kurtul, stated that the region's proximity to raw materials, strong workforce potential, long-standing commercial relationships, and government incentives were influential factors in the investment decision. Kurtul also noted that İSKUR is making significant investments not only in textiles but also in renewable energy. Highlighting that İSKUR strengthens its sustainable production approach with solar power plants with a total capacity of 45 MW under construction in the Hilvan and Viranşehir districts of Şanlıurfa, biomass energy facilities, and energy storage projects planned for the future, Kurtul said that they will continue to contribute to Türkiye's energy transformation with environmentally friendly and technology-focused investments.
