Desirée, presidio di Forza Nuova a San Lorenzo: saluti romani e tensioni con gli antifascisti

Roman salutes, helmets, and sticks. But also more or less explicit references to fascism and Nazism. Thus, about 40 Forza Nuova activists gathered at Porta Maggiore, a few meters from Rome's San Lorenzo neighborhood, for a protest against immigrants following the death of Desirée Mariottini. At the end of the protest, a small group of people attending the sit-in broke through the police cordon and encountered some anti-fascists positioned at the beginning of Via dello Scalo di San Lorenzo to prevent Forza Nuova activists from entering the neighborhood. Tense moments ensued, with insults and shoving, culminating in the intervention of the Digos (Italian Special Operations Division), who identified all the participants.
