A FISH OF A LIFETIME II MONSTER Musselcracker & White Steenbras

Hi Guys & Girls On this video, we finally got it right. BIGGER is BETTER! We were on the hunt this winter for a big Musselcracker, and for the past month we made it our soul mission to catch one. The amount of Kilometers drove and walked after this fish makes it all worth it at the end. Graaitjie landed his first Musselcracker, and what a monster! A fish of a lifetime! Musselcrackers reach maturity at 35 cm fork length at an age of about 5 years. which is quite interesting, White musselcracker have thick lips, powerful jaws and large teeth which enable it to eat black mussels, Siffies, urchins, whelks, crayfish, redbait, Armadillo, and Alikreukel.. Juveniles, which have bright orange fins, and are common in tidal pools. Daily bag limit: 2 per person per day Minimum size limit: 60 cm total length Closed Season: None We also caught some nice size Steenies and a couple of kilometres away we found and saved a big Steenie that's estimated around 23,24kg as it was definitely full of eggs.
