Paul admonishes the Corinthians for their spiritual immaturity, describing them as carnal infants still dependent on spiritual milk because of their jealousy and strife. True Christian maturity leads us to appreciate the wisdom of God revealed on the cross, which we discern only through the Holy Spirit. Mature believers understand that leaders are merely God's co-workers, while we are the field, the building, and the temple of the Lord. Application: Excessive admiration of a human being often ends in profound spiritual disappointment. Today, move toward maturity by feeding on the solid Word of God. Do not depend on the faith of others; Focus definitively on Jesus, the firm Rock.
