Boots and Heels: Rockfield Studios - the farming diversification of the century
Kingsley Ward received a call from an upcoming band in 1974. “I’m sat here one day, and I get a phone call from Queen,” he recalls. “I thought ‘Queen’? What a bloody stupid name for a group.” We were lucky enough to visit Rockfield studios, arguably the most successful farming diversification of the century, to see how him and his brother Charles did it. Thank you to the Ward family for welcoming us to their home and sharing their amazing story. Images credits: ‘Rockfield Studios’ and ‘Nick Brine’.
