Before beginning the ascent, one must abandon the corruption that prevails in the world. Sinful lust wreaks destruction, and we must wage war against it to become a partaker of God's nature through His precious promises. Application: Stop justifying your anger, irritation, or character imperfections with the phrase, "accept me as I am." God has given you His divine power. Don't blame God for your failures.
