Watch the full playlist here: • Chapter 10: Gas Power Cycles To start off Chapter 10 we have to focus in on cycles. Cycles are simply a set of processes that take a system from one state to the next before coming back to the initial state. These are how we produce power and will be the focus of this course. The issue is, real life is....complex. Analyzing real cycles is super hard. To make up for that, we idealize them so we can use the relations we developed earlier. However, when we idealize things, they are always better than reality. That means the numbers we get will always be an upper limit as real life isn't nearly as perfect.
