"An in-depth look at Lovecraftian Video Games" by NeverKnowsBest:    • An in-depth look at Lovecraftian Video Games   ------ Some music listened to while editing: new electric callboy, new poppy and bmth, new spiritbox, landmvrks (have really been digging them as of writing this), thrown(another new band i've been digging) plot in you, paleface swiss, a bit of motionless in white, and a ton of currents and polaris (had this band on repeat for a significant portion when I started editing.) I ALMOST had this out on schedule. I finished the editing on February 27th, 2025. Along with my normal discontent with whatever I work on, I was upset it wouldn't be uploaded on the final day of the month but whatever, March 1st is close enough. Is what I thought. Cue render errors, computer freezes, and other minor setbacks. 19 failed renders (each failing between 2-8 hours in), one re-render, a couple rewatches to check for errors, and it is now 3am on March 6th as I'm scheduling the video to be posted in 9 hours. It's been a long 9 months as I've been working on this video, part of me wishes it were better or more meaningful, but part of me is glad I finished it and I'm sure once I've had some time away from the project I'll be more proud of it. If you're reading this, thank you, and I do hope you enjoyed. I have more surgeries and life stuff to do for a bit, and I don't expect this video to do too well. If it breaks 100k views, then I'll do another deep dive like this (extreme or folk horror maybe?) But most likely I'll be going back to aiming for 30-45 minutes with uploads. Funny that 45 minutes almost feels short now. Has it really been 9 months?
