Woodturning: Lidded Cherry Bowl with an Ebony Finial

I recently received my August issue of Fine Woodworking. I typically don't see woodturning projects in there, but this month, there was a unique bowl featured. I really liked the shape and it was lidded with a finial. I've made lidded boxes before, but not too many lidded bowls. Plus it had a stunning little finial. I had this 4" cube piece of cherry that would be perfect for this project. I hope you enjoy this video.
