June 12, 2026. Today I'm removing a camera trap that's been working in the forest for 80 days and is still operational. I'm just putting a new one in its place for 3-4 months. I'm planning to remove it in October or November. I'll see if it can handle that long with its current power supply. I'll put the old camera trap in the yard. I won't be replacing the batteries or changing the card. So far, it's been working continuously for 80 days. I want to see how long it lasts. It's still exposed to direct sunlight in the yard, though.
