I time-slipped into Edo Japan — 1603. Tokugawa Ieyasu had just unified the country. Nobody was ready for a girl in jeans and white sneakers. In this episode: getting lost in the shitamachi market, almost getting arrested by samurai, a tea ceremony I completely ruined, learning shamisen in a geisha house, front-row sumo (I got shushed), kabuki that made me cry, and somehow ending up inside Edo Castle face to face with the shogun himself.
