Well, here you go During week 11 of the 1968 AFL season, the Buffalo Bills played the San Diego Chargers at War Memorial Stadium. And thanks to absolute incompetence on the part of everyone involved, the field ended up resembling something straight out of a pig pen, to the point where not only was the field a giant pile of mud, but head coach Sid Gillman said that Buffalo didn't deserve a professional football team if that was how the field was going to look.
