There were many reasons for the conflict, the most important of which I mentioned in the latest episode. The bloody war lasted almost a decade, and clashes occurred not only between Iraqis and Iranians. Iranian artillery shelled the fleet in the Persian Gulf, sailing under different flags. This is why naval forces from European countries and, above all, the United States were sent to the fighting zone.
