Jejak Sains dalam Upacara Sekaten Keraton Ngayogyakarta [Video Dokumenter]

This documentary takes viewers on a journey through the splendor of the Sekaten Ceremony—a cultural tradition of the Yogyakarta Palace, from preparation to execution, steeped in spiritual and social significance, through the lens of Natural Sciences (IPA). The Sekaten ceremony is inextricably linked to scientific study, examining every element of the ceremony, from the sound of the gamelan to the traditional gunungan (mountain). Similar to physics, we can explore the principles of sound resonance in the gamelan and the dynamics of the masses in the movement of the procession. With this approach, the documentary not only invites viewers to understand the beauty of Sekaten culture but also to appreciate how science is present in every aspect of traditional life.
