Subwoofer oder Standlautsprecher? Subwoofer sinvoll, oder suboptimal? Was sind die Erfahrungen?!

Should you use floor standing speakers with a subwoofer or without a subwoofer? Why do you need a subwoofer? A subwoofer can be really useful and fun for films, but it can be different with music in a stereo system. In films the subwoofer is the LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel mixed separately. This is less the case with music. Music is often intended for two speakers, so an additional subwoofer can be problematic, particularly if the subwoofer is supposed to process signals above 80 Hz, or if it is simply running at the same time as the speakers, which can lead to cancellation or drone. That's why I stop my main speakers at 40 Hz. In the video I simply talk about my experience and opinion with regard to subwoofers in conjunction with a stereo system. Especially if you're a beginner, you should think carefully about what you want to achieve with your sound system. The fact is, a subwoofer is fun.
