📲 Subscribe to @OlympicsSurfing: https://oly.ch/SubscribeSUR The women's #shortboard competition at #Tokyo2020 took place at Shidashita Beach (also known as "Shida") 64 km outside Tokyo. In the first round, surfers competed in five heats with four surfers in each heat. The top two went straight through to Round 3 with a head-to-head in a Round of 16, while the other two went through to Round 2, which consisted of two more heats of five surfers each. Round 2 saw the top 3 surfers advance to Round 3, while the remaining four were eliminated. Enjoy the full first heat of Round 1 in the #surfing premiere at the Olympics!
