Playing melodies on the drums – comping b/w Snare and BD
Transcribing melodies and orchestrating them on the drums is a great way to develop phrasing and flow. In this lesson, we listen to "Straight No Chaser" and figure out the best way to play the melody between the snare and bass drum, while playing time. This is a great exercise that will take a long time. Be patient, you'll get a ton out of it.
