The fourth day 16/3 This day was very challenging in terms of wind and sea conditions. Strong wind up to 15 knots, fast drift and occasional rain. One of the things I don't like. Despite the difficult conditions, I managed to catch 5 fish, 2 of which were very nice (yellowfin and rusty) and also a Variola louti (a new fish for me). Towards 11 o'clock in the morning the sea subdued me and I retired to rest with seasickness 🤢. The fifth day 17/3 The day started with strong winds and we did not go out with the boat. Later in the day the wind calmed down a bit and the guys went extreme fishing and I stayed to walk the island (I don't like extreme with the weather). The sixth day 18/3 Today was the best weather of our whole week. Calm sea, almost no wind. This time I had a feeling there would be big fish and I changed my leader to 120 pounds instead of 80. Something that proved itself later in the day. This time I took out a new fish (a purple triggerfish) and later a large black trevally. At some point I hooked a small fish on the bottom and then while bringing it up, I get a stronger hookup. I understand that a shark stole my fish and hooked up 🦈. Now begins a fun and exhausting fight with the shark and slowly I manage to bring it to the surface and a shark with an estimated weight of 30kg +. A fun experience and seeing that my gear holds up even with heavy weight💪. To conclude our fishing, I caught another nice amberjack and ended my trip satisfied with a taste of more for the next trip.
