Living in West Cork is a special experience, and Dr Denis O'Donovan returned to his roots to work in an impressive primary care centre in the small tourist town of Schull, in West Cork, seeking a better work-life balance and a family-centred life. He describes that decision, and the benefits of being a rural-based GP, at a time of big demand for GPs in rural Ireland with a wide choice of areas and specialities to work in.
