Shark Speed 2025-2026 ISUP First Review

2025-2026 Shark Speed Plus On flat water is the fastest 26 inch Sup I have tested, mostly due to 20+ Psi construction and the nose cone Faster but less stable on flat water than the 14x26 Starboard AllStar Deluxe 2026General construction quality is at least on pair with Starboard with better quality control and higher psi rating, the carbon nose cone is much better than the Starboard's plastic one Paddle: Starboard Lima 2026 XL Skinny oval handle My experience is that inflation pressure is by far the most determining factor in the rigidity of an ISup. Carbon stripes and tensioning systems impede the bottom to extend but the top still compresses After pressure the most important discriminant on flat water is how well and how much in front of fhe boat the water is being opened On waves max pressure rating matters even more and there is a world of difference between 18 and 21 psi For longevity, welded seams, carbon stripes, glue quality (not everything is welded, even on Starboards) and again max pressure rating are what determine the longevity of an Isup the most. Also avoiding black and use as much white as possible is key in the design of a long lasting Sup, still, a white nose of the board on sunny days is border line dazzling. All in all I like a lot the Shark's colors, especially the orange make it way more visible on the horizon for boats and ships. Plus Shark produces and engineers it's own ISups selling directly to customers. Which in my opinion makes it's ISup even more worth it. Being rated for an higher pressure, having a carbon nose cone and being stiffer overall (even at the same pressure) I believe that the Shark Speed Plus should cost more than the Starboard Allstar Deluxe Where the Starboard wins is on rough water and waves due to its higher stability (the eva pads provides great stability), the bigger nose and the rocker.People online say that for them 15 psi is enough... A 14x26 racing Isup at 15 psi is a floating carpet. I cannot express enough how much everything changes performance wise between 15 and 21 psi Accessories wise Shark provides an higher quality pump than Starboard, a quick release fin which saves a couple of minutes everytime I inflate/deflate, an higher quality leash and did I mention the carbon nose cone? Regarding the bag, the Starboard's bag is the highest quality bag on the market. Still the Shark's bag is taller, narrower and fits inside a 3 pieces paddle vertically (Starboard diagonally, which is inconvenient). Last but not least, if you buy a Shark, buy it with their 3 pieces carbon paddle. Is by far the best 3 pieces paddle I tested: 0 plays, very solid, very stable and efficient in the water. Just a bit heavier than a fix one. This video has not been sponsored by Shark or anybody, I bought everything with my own money
