Since the Transparency and Public Ethics Board (Jutep) issued its ruling on the case of ASSE President Álvaro Danza, the opposition has criticized the agency, arguing that it responds more to political directives than to its role as an oversight body. It's worth recalling that Danza was accused of holding positions at private healthcare providers and the University of the Republic while simultaneously serving in his role at the public health service. Although Danza resigned from his private sector positions, the opposition decided to proceed with the interpellation of the Minister of Public Health, Cristina Lustemberg, after learning of the Jutep ruling.
